Port Douglas is located 65 kilometres north of Cairns Domestic & International Airport in Tropical North Queensland, Australia.
The drive north from the airport takes around one hour; a drive that takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia, with many coconut-fringed, deserted beaches right by the Captain Cook Highway.
Port Douglas is home to some of North Queensland’s most exclusive resorts, restaurants, galleries and world class shops. The village of Port Douglas offers a unique blend of sophistication and relaxation.
“Port”, as everyone calls it, is a popular departure point for trips to the Great Barrier Reef, the Mossman Gorge, Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation.
Zinc’s Location in Port Douglas
Zinc is centrally located in the Portico building on the corner of Macrossan and Davidson Streets, at the Four Mile Beach end of the main street. The restaurant is conveniently located close to many of Port’s apartment complexes.
If you have your own car, you will find ample, free, undercover parking (including disabled car parks) underneath the restaurant with access from Davidson Street. A ramp from the car park provides easy access for wheelchairs up to the restaurant dining areas.
Alternatively, the local shuttle bus stops at the bus stop right in front of Zinc or you can hire a taxi or limousine from your accommodation.
